Basing his film on the true story of Carolyn Jessop, scribe Kirk Ellis will pen Escape, an upcoming thriller in development at Relevant Entertainment.

The film will chronicle Jessop’s life in a forced polygamous marriage before escaping from the Fundamentalist Church of Latter Day Saints with her eight children.

Ellis is currently adapting Jessop’s book. Katherine Heigl is attached to star and producing alongside her mother Nancy Heigl.
