Joel Silver in Germany

From Variety comes word that producer Joel Silver has landed a five-year, fifteen picture co-production deal with German studio Babelsberg. The films will be produced under the Dark Castle Entertainment label and be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Silver is known for his work on Speed Racer, V for Vendetta as well as upcoming films The Reader and Valkyrie. The first film will be shot in Berlin in Spring 2009.
Wachowski Brothers and Joel Silvers signed on new writer Sxean Lee-David and they’re creating a movie/game deal for the highly sought after ” dreamscapesaxis ” project.
It’s about time they do something innovative again, Speed Racer was a bomb, and the Wachowski’s need to get back to their original inspiration for The Matrix movie, and start creating SCI FI again. I hope dreamscapesaxis will be that inspiring movie to supersede “The Matrix”.
