The Crow Flies Again

The Crow is set to fly, again, with Stephen Norrington, who has signed up to pen and direct the story based on the comic created by James O’barr.

Variety article explains that in 1994, the film was directed by Alex Proyas in which rock musician Eric Draven is murdered attempting to rescue his girlfriend from thugs, and returns from the dead one year later with vengeance. The original film turn into a gothic-style hit that grossed nearly $100 million worldwide.

The Crow deal acknowledges the end of a Norrington’s long screen time off. He made a breakthrough with the Marvel Comics hero Blade and thentook on a big-budget comic transfer with The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
