Beals in Book of Eli
Seeing as how The L Word resuscitated her career, actress Jennifer Beals is once again making the jump to feature films in the action thriller The Book of Eli.
The film stars Denzel Washington, with the story centering on Eli, a lone hero, who must fight his way across a wasteland to protect a sacred book that might hold the key to saving humanity. Other cast members include Gary Oldman, Mila Kunis and Ray Stevenson.
Beals will play Oldman’s sexual prize and Kunis’ mother.
The script was penned by Gary Whitta and was recently rewritten by Anthony Peckham. Albert and Allen Hughes are directing, with shooting set to begin next month in New Mexico.

This looks like a very exciting film. Gary Whitta wrote a brilliant script. The cast couldn’t be better: Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman can’t miss. The supporting cast, Ray Stevenson, Mila Kunis and Jennifer Beals, are all strong actors.
