From HitFix comes word that Kieran Culkin (Igby Goes Down) has been cast in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World being developed by Edgar Wright.

The film is based on Bryan Lee O’Malley’s popular series of graphic novels which follows the title character having to defeat the seven evil ex-boyfriends of his girlfriend in order to win her heart.

Culkin will play Wallace Well, the main character’s gay roommate who is shown to be the more responsible of the duo and also known for his pithy observations.

Shooting will begin this Spring in Toronto.
