The Hollywood Reporter reports that Richard Jenkins (Burn After Reading) and Bradley Whitfold (The West Wing on television) are in final negotiations to star in Cabin in the Woods.

The two will play white-collar co-workers with a mysterious connection to the titular cabin. Long in development, the project was penned by Joss Whedon (Dr. Horrible’s Sing-along-Blog) and his writing cohort Drew Goddard (Cloverfield).

Whedon is also producing. Shooting is set to begin this spring, with the film being readied for release on February 5, 2010.
