Variety reports that Stone Village has picked up Sean Wathen and Josh Dobkin’s spec thriller The Field.

The story sees a group of strangers wake up with seemingly random items in an endless field from where they must find a way out.

Stone Village is producing and financing while Benderspink executive produces. The company’s recent films include Turistas and Love in the Time of Cholera; they are currently working on a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s Ikiru.
