Regent Releasing has acquired North American distribution rights to Lynn Roth’s The Little Traitor, according to various reports on the Internet.

The film is an adaptation of Amos Oz’s novel “The Panther in the Basement”, revolving around the relationship between a British sergeant (played by Alfred Molina) stationed in Palestine months before Israel becomes an established state in 1947, and an 11-year old who wants the British to leave his country.

The Little Traitor is currently playing at the Palm Springs International Film Festival and will e released in theaters this Fall.
