Having worked previously in Perfume, director Uli Edel and writer-producer Bernd Eichinger are reteaming for Schweigeminute (A Minute of Silence).

An adaptation of Siefried Lenz’s best-selling novel, the film will be set during the ‘50s on Germany’s Baltic coast, telling the bittersweet story of a summer love affair between a high-school English teacher and one of her students.

Eichinger hopes to start work on the film this summer on location in northern Germany for release sometime next year.
