Two very high profile casting rumors regarding the upcoming remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street have both been quickly shot down.

First up was the report that Lindsay Lohan had been casted as the lead lady. Producer Brad Fuller has said to HitFix that the story is not true at all and that Andrew Form did not comment on the story, adding that the included quotes were not his.

Later, Latino Review reported that Watchmen actor Jackie Early Haley was the front runner to play Freddy Krueger. Fuller shot this down, too, adding that “we’re not even negotiating with anyone yet.”
