Variety reports that Emir Kusturica is set to make a biopic about Mexican revolutionary Pancho Villa for Fidelite.

Based on James Carlos Blake’s novel “The Friends of Pancho Villa”, the film will be entitled Seven Friends of Pancho Villa and the Woman With Six Fingers. The script has been penned by Gordan mihic and will follow the legendary outlaw turned general and governor.

Shooting will take place in Mexico, Spain and Serbia later this year, or early 2010.
