Variety sends word that Darren Lynn Bousman, the man behind Saw 2 to 4 and Repo! The Genetic Opera will next direct the heist thriller Akula for Constantine.

The film is being penned by Mark Distefano and will be set on a submarine. Jeremy Bolt and Paul W.S. Anderson are producing while Alex Litvak is doing a rewrite.

Speaking about the film, Bousman said that while the tone is dark, it will be “very different” from the films he has done recently.
