Seems like Jason Vorhees got a taste of his own medicine when the actor playing the character was attacked. This went down at a party which was held to celebrate the launch of the film last Friday where actor Warrington Gillette, who played the mask-wielding killer in the 1981 film, was attacked with an axe.

He arrived in full costume, wearing the character’s infamous ice-hockey mask, and went on stage to frighten partygoers with a real axe. A woman, apparently, took the performance seriously, attacking the actor, trying to wrestle the weapon away from him. Gillette slashed his hand in the melee.

“She jumped on stage and tried to grab his axe. It was straight out of a horror movie,” said a witness. “Lingerie-clad models were running and screaming, as a blood-soaked Jason ran off the runway to get to a hospital.”
