Variety reports that Sergei Bodrov (Mongol) has been hired to direct The Last Photograph for Warner Bros. Pictures.

Conceptualized by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen), the film follows two men and the photograph that inspires them to travel to war-torn Afghanistan.

It has been scripted by Kurt Johnstand; Zack Snyder, Deborah Snyder and Gianni Nunnari will produce.

While no production schedule is up yet, the film is said to be put on the fast track, so expect it soon.
