Following news that Melissa Leo had joined the project, The Hollywood Reporter carries word that Loren Dean (Bones) has also joined the cast of the indie drama Betty Anne Waters.

The film will follow a working-class single mother (Hilary Swank) whose brother is jailed for murder. She gets a law degree to prove his innocence and uses DNA evidence to get him released from jail in 2001 – 18 years since his imprisonment.

Dean will play the role of the woman’s resentful husband. Other cast members include Sam Rockwell, Minnie Driver and Clea DuVall.
