Dr. Who Companion, IT Crowd Funnyman Cast in Gulliver’s Travels

Casting news for Gulliver’s Travels, ahoy! Former Doctor Who companion Catherine Tate and Irish funnyman Chris O’ Dowd (The IT Crowd) have been cast in the upcoming film that also stars Jack Black.

Tate is set to play the Queen of Lilliput opposite Black’s Lemuel Gulliver. Apparently’ she “can’t believe it… it’s a big, kick-off Hollywood film.”

As for Dowd, he confirmed his role of the film’s principal villain Edward on BBC’s Something for the Weekend show.

The film, directed by Rob Letterman, is set for release next year.
