Ex-rapper Ice Cube is set to star in the action comedy Ride Along for New Line Cinema.

He will play a rogue cop with a soft spot for his sister. When she reveals that she’s engaged to a white psychiatrist, he sets out to destroy the relationship by inviting his future brother-in-law on a ride-along.

The script has been written by Greg Coolidge, which will be polished by producer Matt Alvarez. No director is attached as of yet.
