It Coming to Big Screens

The ABC adaptation of Stephen King’s It was classic, though the second part was weak. Now, it appears that the novel will be brought to the big-screen, as Lin Pictures and Vertigo Entertainment have picked up the rights.
Dave Kajganich (The Invasion) will adapt the story from the 1986 novel which follows a group of kids who defeat a shapeshifting creature which feeds on children and whose favorite form is that of the sadistic clown Pennywise. The second part concerns the kids now all grown up and reuniting to defeat the creature again.
The Sci-fi Channel was said to be looking into adapting it as a miniseries, but thankfully talks fell through.
