Knock, Knock Review–Short, Spooky, With A Punch

On March 6th, 2009

New from Mojo Creative Group comes Knock, Knock, one of the entrants in the Chiller Dare 2 Direct short film contest.

When I say short film, I MEAN short film–this sucker weighs in at a monstrous TWO MINUTES.  I’m all for short film, but that’s going a little far, I figure.  What kind of movie can you make in two minutes?

The answer is, not surprisingly, a pretty cheap but surprisingly effective movie focused around one good scare.  The premise is fast and dirty–a young woman moves into a new apartment but finds herself constantly checking the door due to constant knocking.  And what she finds on the other side will…well…will probably do something. What do you want; it’s only a two minute video.  But still, it’s two minutes of a pretty good surprise that could turn into a full ninety minute film with some decent backstory added to it.  For what there is, it’s pretty good–only wish there were more of it.
