A remake of the 1984 Vietnam pic Missing in Action is being planned to be developed as a direct-to-DVD project. The original starred Chuck Norris.

Centered on Col. James Braddock (Norris), a POW of the Vietcong who escapes Southeast Asia and heads back to liberate other US captives, the film got a prequel and sequel in four years since its release.

Jeremy Passmore and Andre Fabrizio are on board to write the script. It will be updated to reflect modern military realities and will be set during the Iraq War.
