With all the talk and speculation on the Internet about J.J. Abrams wearing an Avatar t-shirt at Wondercon, I came across this picture (io9) of James Cameron working on Avatar.

What is this machine?

A machine that transports disabled people into an alien body?

Is this a hibernation machine for long, long space travel? 

We’ll find out December 18th when the movie opens.
