No Lethal Weapon 5

March 11th, 2009 in Action, Screenwriting, Sequels -

Lethal Weapon scribe Shane Black has indicated that despite his work on a script for the fifth film, it’s most likely that another Lethal Weapon film won’t happen.

This is supported by Moviehole who talked with a source who agreed, saying “that one is as good as dead… it’s won’t happen.” He added that Black’s script was “fabulous” and a “much better second off” than the fourth film.

It is being speculated that the killing blow was served by none other than Mel Gibson who turned down the chance to be in a fifth film.
