Paradox Rides on the Chariot of the Gods

March 11th, 2009 in Book-to-Movie, Books, Sci-Fi -

Variety reports that Paradox Entertainment has acquired screen rights to the 1968 controversial best-seller Chariot of the Gods by Erich von Daniken.

The book explored evidence that different ancient civilizations were visited by extraterrestrials. It has sold 68 million copies worldwide over the past few decades.

Paradox hopes to turn the premise into a science fiction film. While the idea has stood as a basis for various films and television series such as the Stargate franchise, this is the first time the concepts will be taken straight from the source itself.
