‘Percy Jackson’ Casts Lerman and Jackson
Logan Lerman and Brandon T. Jackson are set to take the leading roles in Fox 2000′s Percy Jackson.
Chris Columbus is directing the adventure/fantasy movie about a schoolboy (Lerman) whose world is turned upside-down when he discovers that his father is actually the Greek god Poseidon. The story begins with Percy becoming the prime suspect when Zeus’ master lightning bolt is stolen. The boy has just 10 days to find and return the stolen property to bring peace to the warring gods.
Jackson is set to play Percy’s best friend Grover, a satyr. The overall casting plan is to place a number of big-name actors in the smaller roles of the gods. Shooting is schedule to begin in April in Europe.
Craig Titley and Columbus adapted the story from “The Lighting Thief,” the first of five novels in Rick Riordan’s “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series.
Columbus directed the first two installments of the Harry Potter franchise.

ya this is going to suck!!!!! I was really exited for the movie to come out but now that they made Anna Beth bernet and Grover black and Percy 20 years old…… suck
Yes, I wish I knew their reasoning behind this casting of older children. I hope Chris Columbus the director comes out and explains his reasoning for doing so.
Go to percy jackson fanfiction, go to humor as the genre and read the noob chronicles of camp half-mortal. It is exactly as the movie will be. sadly…

the reason they chose older actors to portray the characters is so that their acting is better quality. understand? do you know many 13 year olds who can handle a movie of this scale size and that are good at acting? and can you find some that look like that characters too?
if you do, you should let me know.
