STYD reports that producer Ray Haboush is working on developing a 3D remake of 1985 horror/black comedy cult classic Re-Animator. Brian Yuzna, producer of the original and director of its sequels, will develop the project along with Haboush.

The original was based on a story by legendary author HP Lovecraft about a doctor who is expelled from a Swiss institute for trying to create a formula to revive the dead. He moves to New England to continue his experiments… and well, hilarity ensues!

Hopefully Combs will come back for his role or maybe appear as a cameo.
