In today’s second bit of release date news, Universal Pictures has set Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood for release on May 14, 2010.

This completes the whole month of May next year. May of 2010 opens with Iron Man 2 on May 7, then Robin Hood, followed by Shrek Goes Fourth and Prince of Persia on 21 and 28, respectively.

Cast members include Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett in the roles of Robin and Maid Marian. It will be a retelling of the origin of the legendary character.
