The Hannah Montana star is getting ready to sing The Last Song, as Variety reports that Julie Anne Robinson (Weeds) will make her feature directing debut on the Miley Cyrus-led project.

Written by Nicolas Sparks, the film will see Cyrus play a rebellious teenager sent to spend the summer with her estranged father.

Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are onboard as producers. Shooting will start this June.
