In more book adaptation news, The Weinstein Company has attached David O. Russell (I Heart Huckabees) to write and direct the adaptation of Matthew Quick’s novel The Silver Linings Playbook.

The book follows Pat Peoples, a former high-school teacher who, after being released from a four-year stint in a mental institution, moves back in with his mother. He then proceeds to remake himself in the hope of reconciling with his ex-wife.

It is being produced by Michelle Raimo (Chocolat) who is currently out for casting.
