The Princess and the Frog Pushed Up
March 11th, 2009 in Animation, Movie News -
Traditionally animated films are very rare these days… and musicals are even rarer. Keeping that in mind, Disney Pictures is betting big on the traditionally-animated musical The Princess and the Frog, pushing the film up a month.
Originally set for release this Christmas, the movie will now open in New York and Los Angeles on November 25 before expanding nationwide on December 11.
The film stars Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, John Goodman and Jennifer Lewis; it is directed by Ron Clements and John Musker.
It will now compete against the adult-targeted The Lovely Bones by Peter Jackson.
