Variety reports that Liv Tyler is set to star in the indie romantic comedy The Romantics.

The film follows seven close friends who convene to watch two of their pals get married. Tyler, the maid of honor, has a long rivalry with the bride over the groom.

The novel upon which it is based was written by Galt Niederhoffer. He also adapted the script and will direct. Shooting begins this summer.
