The Hollywood Reporter sends word that Karl Urban and Adriana Barraza (Babel) have been cast in a remake of the 1970 thriller And Soon the Darkness.

Set in Argentina, the story follows two American girls on a bike trip in a remote part of the country. When one of them disappears, the other must find her before darkness falls and her worst fears are realized.

Other cast members include Odette Yustman and Amber Heard. Marcos Efron is directing the film which will be shot on location in Argentina; the original was set in France.
