The movie is very good. How many of the personality traits of your friends and family do you see in ADAM?

Keep in mind it is a view of largely steriotyped asperger individual, we are each difrent and have varying levels of coping and adapting skills, just like anybody else.

Many of us, at various points on the Autism Spectrum, Aspies included, feel emotions and even love just as strongly as anyone else. We have varying abilities to experience and communicate these feelings. Our inability to deal with and communicate these feelings is only one part of our over all whole personality, it does not and should not define us.

Asperger’s Syndrome (disorder) is just another way of seeing and experiencing the world, not the social death march that some of the posters abve play it out to be.

Have a little extra patience with us, and I assure you it will be worth it.

Hi Kenna. Do you have any notice for me? I want to buy the dvd because I’m the mother of a nine year old diagnosed with Asperger. He is my life. And I wish that all my friends can see the movie. Please, when you have a chance let me know if the dvd is available and in which stores.

    Thnks a lot, Laura

We saw the premier as well in Dallas and had a good chat with Hugh Dancy. We also cried during the movie but also felt some sense of hope for our son who is 9 and is ADHD/Aspy.

There are so many flavors of autism… no child is an exact match of another, but it was still a glimpse into what the future might hold for our son. Some good things, some bad.

We would like to get the DVD as well once released. Let us know.

Laura… we feel for you… but we have met some Aspy adults that are married and leading wonderful lives. There is great hope! Pray for him and love him all you can.
