Stars Robert de Niro and Edward Norton are set to star in Stone, reports Production Weekly.

The film is based on a play by Angus MacLachlan (Junebug) and will have de Niro play a parole office who developers a friendship with a teaching assistant.

The project starts shooting this May; it is being directed by John Curran (The Painted Veil).

The duo have previously teamed on heist thriller The Score.
