Gellar Interested in Buffy Film
Sarah Michelle Gellar is reported to be in talks to reprise her role as Buffy Summers in a film sequel that will continue the story wrapped up in the seven-season television series.
According to various insider reports, the script has the story picking up with an older Buffy who may possibly be a mother. Gellar is said to be excited about the idea.
However, it all boils down to timing and how many cast members will be available for the film. The television series began in 1997 and ended in 2003.
Considering how their careers have looked for the last couple years, I doubt availability should be a huge problem. Most are working, but not on anything really big that they probably wouldn’t throw over in a heartbeat for theatrical Buffy.
Anything new about this? It would be great, but only if they could get at least Buffy, Giles, Willow, Xander and one of either Spike/Angel to appear.
