Alias star Jennifer Garner is now attached to star and possibly produce upcoming comedy Butter.

The script by Jason Micallef, which came third on the unofficial Black List of 2008, is a political satire set in the small-town world of competitive butter-scultping.

The film will follow a young orphan who, after being adopted by a Midwestern family, discovers she has an uncanny talent for butter-carving. She eventually becomes the ambitious wife of the retired reigning champion in the town’s annual butter-sculpting contest.

Two directors – Craig Gillespie and Gary Ross – are currently circling the project.
