N. Korea Rocket Victory! Online Review–The Propaganda Machine Must Be So Tired
Perhaps the greatest thing about short online videos like those you’ll find on Newgrounds is that they can exercise maximum relevance. Such is the case with very, VERY, recent release N. Korea Rocket Victory! .
I believe that the author’s comments may well represent the best possible interpretation of this spectacular concept–here’s the quote: “Today North Korea launch rocket into space. Is part of peaceful space development program. Do not believe Capitalist Empire Lies !!! Today you can finally hear melodies of Dear Leader Kim Jong Il and Spirit of Kim Il Sung anywhere because of satellite. Who needs food when you have power?!?! Sing!!!!!”
With a buildup like that, and the fact that the guy actually kept it going in the comments section, the only question that remains is, did they manage to pull off the execution? In a way, they did. The whole thing, when taken together, is a riot. The only problem is that it’s not a riot for long. It’s really just the same few frames of animation repeating on an infinite loop, and though those frames are downright hilarious, the laughter will not last long as it just gets old.
If you want to laugh yourself into a shallow coma for about fifteen seconds and then get on with your day, then N. Korea Rocket Victory! is just the agent of change you need.
