Aussie star Alex O’Loughlin is in negotiations for the romantic male lead opposite Jennifer Lopez in CBS Film’s The Back-Up Plan.

The romantic comedy centers on a single woman (Lopez) who turns to artificial insemination, only to see her backup plan turned upside down when the man of her dreams shows up on the same day that her pregnancy test results come back positive.

Alan Poul is directing. Filming begins this May in Los Angeles.
