The inevitable has happened: Sony Pictures is moving forward with a third Men in Black film. The announcement was made yesterday during the Sony Pictures presentation at the annual ShoWest convention in Las Vegas.

This was confirmed by Sony Worldwide Distribution president Rory Bruer who noted that the sequel is being worked alongside Spider-Man 4 and the third Ghostbusters film, all with potential 2011 release dates.

The last Men in Black film was released back in 2002, starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
