The Feed Online Review–Not Just For G4 Any More

April 17th, 2009 in Horror, Indie, Movies, Reviews -

Once again, Fewdio shows its skill with a twist ending in their Valentine’s special release, The Feed.

Under normal circumstances, I can’t stand Valentine’s Day.  Seems to be when all the worst stuff happens to me, and I’m not just talking romantically, either–one year I fell down a flight of stairs.  But when Fewdio does it and puts it on YouTube, then you know it’ll be all right.  Check out the plot: a young computer salesman in San Francisco moves into his new apartment, and discovers that the television gets a channel he’d never expected–the security camera feed in someone else’s apartment.  At first, he’s surprised to see an attractive young woman who shares his taste in literature, but this attraction soon grows grim as something happens…and our young computer salesman discovers the truth behind this young lady he’s found.

While this one does test your patience–it’s almost ten minutes long–the twist at the end WILL still be worth it.  It’s the first time I’ve had anything less than complete praise for a Fewdio title, and frankly, I almost feel bad about it, but it is what it is.  This is not the best of Fewdio’s lot, because it’s a lot more work for less payoff than I’m used to.  Still good, no doubt, but not the best–this is a good one to start with.
