‘Twelve’ Casting in Place
Joel Schumacher will direct the adaptation of the Nick McDonell novel Twelve.
Chace Crawford, Emma Roberts, Rory Culkin, Curtis (50 Cent) Jackson, Ellen Barkin and Kiefer Sutherland have joined the film, which means principal casting is complete.
Production starts next week in New York.
The novel was written by 17-year-old McDonell that somberly illustrated teenage drug use and debauchery in New York City, Upper East Side.
The story centers on a high school dropout-turned-drug dealer. His money-spinning life turns for the worse when the dealer’s cousin is brutally murdered on an East Harlem playground and his best friend is arrested for the crime.
