Alan Cumming, who was recently in the running to play Green Goblin in a musical version of Spider-Man, has now been cast by writer/director Jonathan Blitstein as a villain in the upcoming sci-fi thriller Escape to Donegal.

The film is set in a dystopian future that is described as a classic Philip K Dick story. Not much is known about the script, which was written by Chris Minori.

Filming is set to take place in New York this fall.
