Hutch Dano has joined the upcoming film adaptation of the Beverly Cleary book series Ramona and Beezus.

In development at Fox 2000 and Walden Media, the film sees Dano playing Henry Higgins, a longtime classmate of Ramona’s older sister Beezus, who has developed a crush on him. The character of Higgins first appeared in Cleary’s first novel “Henry Higgins” in 1950.

Dano joins cast members Joey King, Selena Gomez, John Corbett, Bridget Moynahan and Ginnifer Goodwin.
