Just how awesome would it be to watch Stewie try to kill his mother on the big screen? How about Peter’s antics?

That just might be in our future as Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane told Wired Magazine that a film version of the animated television show is in the works.

Said MacFarlane: "We want to do it. Fox wants it. We know what we want to do with it. It’s just a question of finding the time. That’s why The Simpsons took so many years to do theirs. They just couldn’t fit it into the schedule."

The film is said to be in its early stages right now, which basically means that it is a long, long time away. So don’t hold your breath just yet.
