Everyone knows about Japanese sumo wrestlers, but how about Israeli ones? Yes, there are apparently Israeli sumo wrestlers and there is a movie about them, and quite interestingly Dimension Films has acquired English language remake rights to the film dubbed A Matter of Size.

It follows an overweight Israeli restaurant employee who is turned to the world of sumo wrestling by several co-workers at the Japanese eatery where he works. He discovers that his weight can be used as an advantage.

The comedy was a breakout hit at last month’s Tribeca Film Festival. David Permut is set to produce.
