Moving on from Tropic Thunder, Danny McBride is finally getting the limelight through a comic book being adapted into a film property with him in mind for the lead.

Hench, based on the graphic novel created by Adam Beechen and Mario Bello, has McBride playing a football player who suffers a career-ending injury and is in desperate need of a job. He then signs on to be a henchman for a successful villain.

McBride is writing the script himself with Shawn Harwell. The pair have previously worked together on HBO’s Eastbound and Down.
