On May 26th, 2009

From the what-the-hell department comes word that Twitter is going for a television series.

The San Francisco-based web company, who recently became a phenomenon thanks to Oprah and Ashton Kutcher, has partnered with Reveille and Brillstein Entertainment to develop an unscripted TV series described as "putting ordinary people on the trail of celebrities in a revolutionary competitive format."

The concept was developed by novelist/screenwriter Amy Ephron, who will exec produce with a bunch of other people. More information on this project is said to be coming soon.
