Dutch director Paul Verhoeven is coming back to America and will direct a thriller called The Surrogate for 20th Century Fox adapted from the book by Kathryn Mackel. The story is not to uncommon about a couple distressed to have a child. The story gets twisted when they find themselves in an insufferable arrangement because the surrogate carrying their baby is insane.
