Warner Handling Death Note

On May 1st, 2009

The manga series Death Note was awesome – the anime even more awesome. However, the movie left a lot out and when compared to the other two. Despite all this, Warner Bros. is set to adapt the 13-volume manga series into a live-action film.

The manga told the story of a college student who finds a misplaced “death note”, which lets him kill by merely writing the name of the victim while picturing the person in his mind.

Thankfully, the film will be based on the first three installments in the series penned by Tsugumi Ohba and not the Japanese films. Charley and Vlas Parlapanides are set to adapt the script.
