Cameron Goes Heavy Metal, World Rejoices

June 8th, 2009 in Action, Directors, Movie News -

The upcoming Heavy Metal anthology movie sure is becoming heavy, as word on the street is that James Cameron has come onboard as co-executive producer and direct a segment.

This comes from producer Kevin Eastman who revealed that David Fincher is also onboard. He noted that Fincher and Cameron will each direct individual segments, along with Zack Snyder and Gore Verbinski. Additionally, he revealed that Mark Osborne and Jack Black from Tenacious D are going to do a comedy segment for the film.

And that’s not all either: three more directors have also agreed, but they are yet to be signed.

The ‘80s magazine and movie featured a collection of various stories blending fantasy and science fiction with erotica and violence.
