Conrad to rewrite Karate Kid remake

Having done The Pursuit of Hapiness, Steven Conrad has been hired to rewrite the remake of The Karate Kid for Sony Pictures.
He takes over for Chris Murphy who was originally hired to write the reboot.
The remake will star Jackie Chan, Jaden Smith and Taraji P. Henson. They hope to start shooting sometime next month in China.
